Department of Tourism Management, IGNTU Celebrates International Women’s Day 2025
Amarkantak, March 7 – The Department of Tourism Management of Indira Gandhi National Tribal University (IGNTU) celebrated International Women’s Day with a special program titled "Empowering Young Women Professionals: Making a Just World."
The session was conducted by Dr. Abhilasha Alise Tirkey from the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication, in the presence of Head of Department Dr. Prashant Kumar Singh, along with faculty members Dr. Rohit Ravindra Borlikar, Dr. Anil Kumar Tamta, and others.
The event was attended by all girl students of the Department.
Dr. Abhilasha addressed critical issues such as gender inequality, workplace harassment, domestic violence, sexual harassment, and societal stereotypes. She also provided motivational insights and practical solutions to overcome these challenges.
Several students shared their personal experiences, making the session interactive and impactful.
The initiative was highly appreciated by attendees for its relevance and effectiveness in fostering awareness and empowerment.
